Interdisciplinary Big Ideas Meeting

The Interdisciplinary Big Ideas Meeting is a bi-weekly virtual seminar for discussing big ideas in ecology and evolution from an interdisciplinary perspective. Since Feb 2021 we have been fostering a positive space to talk about wild ideas and new projects, kind of like a think tank. Our group is made up academics and practitioners, in a wide range of disciplines, from microbiologists to medieval historians, from theologians to architects. We approach topics  through lenses of science, racial justice, sustainability, industry and more. Given that we are very interdisciplinary, we try to make sure that the language we use in discussions is intelligible across fields.
